Christopher Morel, in addition to having a tremendously successful rookie season, is such a wonderful person. We know what he’s been through some tough things in his life, and we know it’s given him a unique appreciation for being where he is. We know about all the fist bumps and hugs on the field. The big smile. The bountiful energy.
Morel added to his early legacy tonight with something just so delightfully sweet I had to share it immediately.
In Miami, Morel’s self-appointed biggest fan was trying to get his attention to tell Morel how much she loved him, and to ask if she could send him a necklace. She must have figured that he’s a big necklace fan, because he does wear several.
Well, instead of accepting her offer, Morel wound up making one of his own: here, take one of my necklaces. She was over the moon.
