Cody Bellinger Makes a Spectacular Catch, But Then Has to Leave the Game (UPDATE)
Cody Bellinger is such an incredible defender out in center field. Most of the time, it’s the casually excellent routes on the way to make a catch that doesn’t look spectacular (because he got there so efficiently). But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a spectacular catch up his sleeve every now and again. You just have to hope he’s OK after he does it.
That’s what happened in the bottom of the 7th tonight when Kyle Tucker got into one and sent it to the wall in right center.
Bellinger went ALL OUT to make a tremendous play:
Bellinger seemed a little shaken up coming off of that one, ultimately walking off the field with the athletic trainer. From there he was replaced in his next at bat by Miles Mastrobuoni.
Please be OK, Cody. The Cubs are not going to want to be without him out there for any length of time.
