Seiya Suzuki Just Crushed One Out to Center – His First Homer at Wrigley This Year

Chicago Cubs

I wouldn’t call it “lost” in the crazy hot Christopher Morel stretch, but I would say it’s been less discussed: Seiya Suzuki is on FIRRRREEE.

He just homered again tonight, on the first pitch he saw – Marquee didn’t even have a chance to get its scorebug fully up before he crushed this one to center:

(A little slip there on the plate at the end – please don’t tell me it felt like anything. I cannot take that tonight.)

105.6 mph off the bat, 414 feet out to center for his first homer at Wrigley Field this year. That’s his fifth homer in his last eight games, and it brought his season line up to .290/.373/.508/139 wRC+.

Seiya knew that one was gone right away, carrying his bat with him up the first baseline.
