Nothing about this game so far had been enjoyable. From the broadcast, to the Cubs prouduction, to all the luck seemingly going the Red Sox way.
But after finally chasing Tanner Houck out of the game, the Cubs were able to do some damage thanks to the red-hot Mike Tauchman.
After Pete Crow-Armstrong and Nico Hoerner reached on back-to-back singles, Tauchman stepped up and launched his third home run of the season … GAME-TYING, 8TH INNING, 3-RUN BLAST.
Tauchman had a hit earlier in the game too, and is now slashing .294/.429/.500 (164 wRC+) on the season. He is playing out of his mind.
