Owen Caissie’s third home run of the season was a scorcher!
The 21-year-old took Columbus Clippers pitched Adam Oller deep in the bottom of the first inning to give the Cubs a 4-2 lead. The four-seamer was placed perfectly over the plate for Caissie, who sent it 424 feet over the wall. The centerfielder looked like he couldn’t even spot in the air as the Cubs’ top 10 prospect started to round the bases.
What made the blast even better was Caissie’s plate discipline. He forced a 3-2 count and sent the ball flying on Oller’s eighth pitch of the at-bat.

While Caissie hasn’t been the hottest hitter as of late, his power always remains a threat. He’s still also off to a decent start in Triple-A, registering a .427 slugging percentage with his highest walk rate since 2021.
If one thing is for sure, though, we’d like to see even more of this!
