Triple-A Iowa Cubs
The Columbus Clippers overpowered the Iowa Cubs, claiming a 6-4 victory in ten innings. Despite a strong start from Thomas Pannone, who allowed just one run over six innings while striking out seven, the I-Cubs couldn’t secure the win. The Clippers capitalized on two errors in the eighth inning, resulting in two unearned runs against Porter Hodge.
In the tenth inning, Carl Edwards Jr. surrendered a decisive three-run home run to Johnkensky Noel, ultimately taking the loss. David Peralta kicked off the game with a solo home run, finishing 2-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base. David Bote added two solo home runs, one in the second inning and another in the fourth, ending the game 2-for-4 with three home runs on the season. Seiya Suzuki went 0-for-3 with one strikeout as the designated hitter.

High-A South Bend Cubs
The South Bend Cubs lost to the Cedar Rapids Kernels by a score of 8-1 in a game that was cut short by rain, lasting only five innings. Starting pitcher Tyler Santana had a tough time, allowing eight runs on ten hits in three and two third innings. Yohendrick Pinango continued his impressive form by going 2-for-2 with a walk, extending his hitting streak to 15 games. Pinango’s infield single drove in Brett Bateman for South Bend’s only run.

Low-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans had a challenging game against the Augusta GreenJackets, losing 2-0 in 12 innings. Marino Santy had a solid start, pitching five scoreless innings, striking out nine batters, and allowing only three hits. In the 12th inning, Shane Marshall surrendered a two-run single with two outs and bases loaded, leading to the Pelicans’ defeat. Despite the Pelicans’ pitching staff striking out 23 batters, the offense struggled to score, only managing five singles and two walks across the 12 innings.
