The warm Florida sun and the iconic Champion Course at PGA National Resort are set to welcome the golfing world once again. The 2024 Cognizant Classic, formerly known as the Honda Classic, tees off this Thursday, marking the start of the exciting “Florida Swing” on the PGA Tour calendar.
The Cognizant Classic at PGA National – 2024 Preview
This year’s tournament boasts a strong field, headlined by world No. 2 Rory McIlroy, who is fresh off a win in The Match. Chasing him will be a mix of established stars like Matt Fitzpatrick and Rickie Fowler, alongside rising talents looking to make their mark on the challenging Champion Course.
With a total purse of $9 million and valuable FedExCup points on the line, expect four days of intense competition and captivating storylines. So, grab your sun hat, settle in on the couch, and get ready for another thrilling chapter in the history of the Cognizant Classic.
When is the 2024 Cognizant Classic?
The tournament formally known as The Honda Classic gets started on “leap day” this year, Thursday, February 29th, and concludes on Sunday, March 3rd.
What Channel is the 2024 Cognizant Classic on?
The opening two rounds of TV coverage for the 2024 Cognizant Classic will be exclusively provided by Golf Channel. NBC enters the mix on the weekend for exclusive coverage of the closing hours of both rounds 3 and 4.
The streaming options for this week’s tournament remain the same with ESPN+ and Peacock having you covered once again. ESPN+ will provide main feed coverage at different times throughout the entire tournament while also offering featured groups and holes throughout all weekend. Peacock’s coverage runs concurrently with both the Golf Channel and NBC’s TV broadcasts.
