Coming off of a Super Bowl appearance, the Philadelphia Eagles have one of the most well-rounded rosters in the league. With only six picks in the 2023 NFL Draft — and just four in the first two days — they will have to decide between luxury picks to win now and depth at positions that could be dwindling soon.

2023 Philadelphia Eagles 7-Round Mock Draft
Round 1: Pick 10 Overall
Pick: Peter Skoronski, T, Northwestern
Many mock drafts have the Eagles selecting running back Bijan Robinson here, but a best-player-available approach could mean that Philadelphia addresses their offensive line. Peter Skoronski was a unanimous All-American and the Big Ten’s Offensive Lineman of the Year as Northwestern’s left tackle. Some teams may want to move Skoronski inside due to his size and that could be key for this pick given the Eagles’ current strength at the tackle position.
Round 1: Pick 30 Overall
Pick: Bryan Bresee, DI, Clemson
Philadelphia may want to move one of their first-round picks in order to take more shots in this draft. But, if this is the one they keep, they could address their defensive line, which is a position this regime is more than comfortable using valuable resources on.
A great run-stopper that can improve as a pass-rusher, Bryan Bresee has a wide range of outcomes but could be a huge value here as some draft pundits grade him as a top-15 pick.
Round 2: Pick 62 Overall
Pick: Luke Wypler, C, Ohio State
This could very well be Jason Kelce’s last season in the league and Luke Wypler could use a season to apprentice behind one of the best centers in football. Wypler makes up for some size concerns with outstanding athleticism.
Round 3: Pick 94 Overall
Pick: Anthony Johnson Jr., S, Iowa State
The defending NFC champs lost both of their starting safeties this offseason to free agency. They also signed Terrell Edmunds and Justin Evans, but a good draft pick could still compete for snaps.
Anthony Johnson Jr. was a free safety at Iowa State who doubled as the team’s nickel corner. That versatility should give the rookie a fighting chance to find the field in some capacity, especially if a team uses Day 2 draft capital on him.
Round 7: Pick 219 Overall
Pick: Dorian Thompson-Robinson, QB UCLA
Dorian Thompson-Robinson visited with the Eagles this week and his versatility on the ground fits perfectly in this quarterback room where there will be almost no expectation for him to take snaps in 2023. While inconsistent in college, DTR’s strong arm and rushing ability will make him an intriguing option as Jalen Hurt’s long-term backup if Marcus Mariota only hangs around for 2023.
Round 7: Pick 248 Overall
Pick: Jonah Tavai, DI, San Diego State
Jonah Tavai is a formidable run-stopper but his lack of size will likely make him a Day 3 pick. He could be a solid backup for a team that needs help on the interior d-line.
