2023 Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Draft Pick Trade Value Chart

It’s officially trade and draft season, which means the most coveted assets in your dynasty fantasy football league are the current rookie picks.

The NFL Draft is over, so it’s time to update trade values and evaluate what each pick is worth. With that in mind, we’ll go through each pick to determine draft pick value and provide you a PPR trade value chart as well – all from dynastyleaguefootball.com as we use our dynasty trade calculator values.

2023 Dynasty Fantasy Football Trades: Rookie Draft Pick Dynasty Trade Value Chart Rundown

1.12

If you sport the last pick of the first round, you’re likely going to need to adjust your draft strategy on the fly. Unlike many startup drafts, rookie drafts can go in a lot of different directions. With that being said, you’re likely looking at Marvin Mims or Michael Mayer. However, you would also be in line for the first QB in 1QB formats, which would include Bryce Young or CJ Stroud. When you compare this pick value to some veterans, AJ Dillon or Isiah Pacheco would be worthy targets if you choose to move the pick.

1.11

With many top prospects off the board, this pick is going to yield you someone like Mayer or Kendre Miller. This pick is also around the range to look to acquire a 2024 first-rounder, if you have the luxury to do so.

If you move the pick, veterans like Keenan Allen or DeAndre Hopkins could be worthy targets for the 1.11.

1.10

A top-ten pick is always going to be coveted. This year, it should give your dynasty team a boost with someone like Devon Achane or Zach Charbonnet. If you’re in trade mode, however, a top ten pick should get you someone like Alvin Kamara or Cam Akers. Although, both of those players could be headed to free agency in the short term.

1.09

As we creep up the first round, the values of these picks certainly don’t decrease. The 1.09 is going to be the sweet spot for Achane, Zach Charbonnet, or even Dalton Kincaid. If you have the 1.09, candidates in the range of trade possibilities should include Kamara, James Cook, or Mike Williams.

At this point in the draft, you had better take a deep dive into the talent pool and be steadfast in the rookie you want.

1.08

As we roll into the top eight, we’re likely still looking at players like Kincaid, Charbonnet, and Achane. However, the ability to make your choice between any of these gives this pick a premium when you assign value to it. Depending on the analyst you trust the most, any of these would make fine additions to your squad. However, this isn’t a redraft format, so you’re getting to the point where you wouldn’t want to make a mistake. Veteran trade targets with the 1.08 would include Rachaad White and Amari Cooper.

1.07

The seventh pick of the draft should get you the choice of just about any player mentioned. But it should also get you in the range of Zay Flowers – the talented receiver from Boston College who was taken by the Ravens. Trade targets with the 1.07 could include Diontae Johnson, Calvin Ridley or Aaron Jones.

1.06

There are 150 ways to build a team and if you decide to keep this pick, you’re likely looking at the last of the four receivers – Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Zay Flowers, Quentin Johnson, or Jordan Addison. If you’re looking to move the pick, it should net you a veteran like JK Dobbins or Jahan Dotson.

1.05

The fifth pick should net you the third of the “big four” receivers mentioned above, assuming Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs are taken ahead of you here. Most rookie drafts are going to see Robinson, Gibbs, and these four receivers taken 1-6. If you don’t want the pick, Dobbins or D’Andre Swift would be worthy targets for acquisition.

1.04

Now we get into some premium picks. The fourth pick is likely going to get you the second-best receiver, or you may even have a shot at Jahmyr Gibbs. You better be sure you want this pick, however.

Veterans you could get in a trade could include TJ Hockenson, Christian Watson, Tony Pollard, or Najee Harris.

1.03

This pick is one of the three premium selections this year. Robinson and Gibbs should go 1-2, then you get to choose the best receiver from the bunch. If not, you’re going to get Gibbs, who looks like a solid prospect to build around after the trade of D’Andre Swift.

If you’re not a believer in building through the draft, though, you have a chance to get Kyle Pitts, Davante Adams, or Cooper Kupp, who are studs in points per reception leagues with this pick.

1.02

Assuming Robinson goes first, you get the pick of the litter with Gibbs or any of the receivers. Even better, you could move the pick for someone in the range of Travis Etienne, Stefon Diggs, or DeVonta Smith.

1.01

This is going to be Bijan Robinson in just about every draft. He profiles as the best running back prospect since Saquon Barkley and his roster addition could make any dynasty team an instant contender.

Getting a deal for the 1.01 is going to be difficult this offseason, as Robinson is viewed as a generational talent. Whether you’re in a 1QB or superflex league, it’s going to be tough to pass on Robinson, who looks like a lock for impact fantasy points from day one. If you trade it, you need to get back a top asset like AJ Brown, CeeDee Lamb, or Jonathan Taylor, Yes, it’s worth that much.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Chart, Resources, Rankings, and Trade Calculator Update

2023 Trade Value Chart

With a premier running back like Robinson on the board, the trade value for No. 1 this year is actually more like 4,500. However, the rest of our chart is pretty accurate in terms of draft pick for draft pick trades.

What is the difference between Dynasty Rankings and Dynasty SF Rankings?

The main difference between the two is that Super-flex rankings include an additional aspect for the players’ fantasy football value, as that format allows for the starting of a second QB in the lineup. In those rankings, the players’ value as potential QB starters is taken into account. Meanwhile, in Dynasty Rankings, the rankings are primarily based on the players’ overall long-term value and contribution to a dynasty team.

In short, quarterbacks are going to be valued more in SF leagues. There are just fewer in the league and they score points on a more consistent basis, making them the premier players to have.

Why are QBs and WRs often at the top of Dynasty Player Rankings?

QBs and receivers are often at the top of dynasty rankings because they are key positions in fantasy football. QBs are the most valuable players on the field as they have the ability to rack up points through passing touchdowns. Premier pass catchers are also valuable since they can make big plays and score those touchdowns. Both positions also have a longer career arc than running backs.
