Round 1, Pick 7: WR Malik Nabers, LSU

Malik Nabers is a versatile receiver known for his physicality and passion for the game. He’s adept at using various releases to create separation and runs precise routes both outside and in the slot. Nabers excels in contested-catch situations, making him a reliable target even when covered tightly. His run-after-catch ability is a highlight, as he can evade defenders and power through tackles for big gains. However, questions linger about his sustained vertical speed and ability to consistently separate against elite corners. Overall, Nabers is a physically dominant receiver capable of making plays at all levels of the field.

Round 2, Pick 38: S Tyler Nubin

Tyler Nubin stands out for his exceptional ball skills and instincts, making quarterbacks cautious. He’s quick to read route concepts and can disrupt passes with his range and closing speed. Nubin’s versatility extends to covering slot receivers and contributing in run defense, although he needs improvement in leveraging the football and hip transitions. He’s better suited for split-safety alignment and projects as a starting safety with playmaking abilities in various defensive roles.

Round 4, Pick 106: CB D.J. James, Auburn

D.J. James is a versatile cornerback with skills in both man and zone coverage, evidenced by his 16 pass break-ups in the last two seasons at Auburn. He excels at closing space quickly and has solid ball skills, contributing to turnovers. With a feisty mentality, he’s reliable in tackling and shows good instincts. However, he can be overly aggressive, leaving him vulnerable to double moves, and there are concerns about his long speed against fast receivers. Additionally, he needs to improve in shedding stalk blocks and maintaining eye discipline. He’s best suited for off-man and Cover-3 zone coverage, with potential as a slot/nickel corner.

Round 5, Pick 146: EDGE Nelson Ceaser, Houston

Nelson Ceaser is a versatile edge rusher known for his quick first step, functional strength, and relentless effort. His initial burst excels in dictating the pace of the pass rush, showcasing both speed around the edge and power to bull rush. Additionally, he has experience playing inside linebacker, displaying athleticism and strength as a disruptive blitzer. Areas for improvement include developing a counter pass rush move and refining his ability to set the edge in the run game. Despite these areas of growth, Ceaser’s physical tools and high motor make him a promising prospect with the potential to become a highly productive defensive player at the NFL level.

Round 6, Pick 182: HB Kimani Vidal, Troy

Kimani Vidal, Troy University’s record-setting rusher, enters the 2024 NFL Draft as a highly-skilled running back prospect. Known for his vision, agility, and physicality, Vidal excels at finding running lanes and breaking tackles. He showcases versatility by threatening defenses both as a runner and a pass-catcher out of the backfield. However, questions linger about his top-end speed and tendency to bounce inside runs to the outside. Despite these concerns, Vidal’s ability to finish runs and contribute in the passing game makes him a promising prospect for NFL teams.

Round 7, Pick 227: OT Trente Jones, Michigan

Jones has limited starting experience and fewer offensive snaps compared to typical NFL linemen, but he shows flashes of excellence on tape. While lacking ideal size and length for tackle or guard positions, he demonstrates versatility to play either. Occasionally loses reps due to positioning issues, but rarely outmatched in terms of opponent quickness or power. Highly athletic, capable of driving opponents off the spot or stalling rushes with strong punch. Versatile in blocking schemes, but questions may arise regarding his failure to secure a full-time starting role at Michigan.

Round 7, Pick 242: DI Evan Anderson, FAU

Evan, a seasoned fourth-year junior from FAU, boasts solid stature and remarkable power, particularly evident in his adept use of hands and strength at the point of attack. His versatility shines as he adeptly transitions between roles, effectively plugging running lanes and pressuring quarterbacks from various defensive line positions. With quick feet and keen football intelligence, he consistently disrupts plays, shedding blocks and making tackles with precision.
