Ian Happ Is Selling His Remaining “Through My Eyes” Artwork at a Huge Discount, with 100% of the Proceeds Going to Charity

Because of COVID-19, the 2021 Cubs Convention has been cancelled. And that just all-the-way sucks. There are, of course, any number of more serious ways the virus has impacted our lives, but as a Cubs fan who loves the convention – and getting to see so many of you there (or at Lizzie McNeils afterwords) – I can’t pretend I’m not extremely disappointed. It really is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, make some new ones, and bond over the one the thing we all have in common: the Cubs.

But it’s also an opportunity for some people to do a lot of good – like Ian Happ.

The Cubs young outfielder was planning to use the convention to sell the remaining THROUGH MY EYES artwork of Wrigley Field (from his perspective) at the convention, with 100% of the proceeds going to a Chicago charity, like he does every year …

… Unfortunately, he no longer has that chance. HOWEVER, he did come up with a pretty great alternative that could simultaneously (1) raise a ton of money for charity and also (2) save you some serious cash on a purchase (… for yourself, or for that Cubs fan in your life who still needs a Christmas present).

So here’s the deal: Happ has just 166 total pieces of artwork remaining and he wants to sell it all by the new year. In order to accomplish that goal, he’s marking down the price of all three print sizes SIGNIFICANTLY *and* he’s numbering and signing the large prints (and I have it on very good authority that there are only 33 large prints left, so I’d get moving ….).

Here’s how that breaks down …

Large Prints: $85.oo
Medium Prints: $65.00
Small Prints: $40.00

And here’s a direct link to the three individual prints:

•   From the Dugout
•   3-2, 2 Outs
•   Coming Home (Only 10 left in large w/autograph!)

Anyone who’s bought one of these before knows that this is an incredible value, with the large prints, in particular, coming in at less-than-half the prior cost. They really want to move these as soon as possible to make one big holiday donation, so consider doing what you can to help *while also* getting a sweet, unique piece of Wrigley Artwork in the process.

But Michael, won’t a deal that good mean a smaller overall donation to charity? Nope! Happ is also working on finding a 1-1 donation match to boost the total charitable givings, so every dollar you choose to spend, could ultimately act as $2.00 worth of change in the world. That’s a lot of good for this city at a time of the year when people could really use it (this year especially). You can read much more about the artwork, the process, and the goals at the website.

With all of that said, Happ told me that they haven’t yet identified which charity will receive the donation yet, but I told him that’s okay. I have a feeling some of you might have some good ones you’d like to promote, so please consider sharing in the comments, and I’ll do my best to pass those options along. Even if it’s not the one Happ ultimately picks, you might just bring some attention to a cause that means a lot to you.

Anyway, thanks for all of your help and happy shopping!
