If you weren’t already worrying about the offensive line, you might be after reading this post.
Yet another injury has popped up at a most important position:
#Bears HC Matt Nagy says that rookie OT Larry Borom is in concussion protocol and will not practice today. CB Desmond Trufant also will be sidelined with a groin injury.

Bears Head Coach Matt Nagy told reporters that rookie offensive tackle Larry Borom won’t practice today because he is in concussion protocol. Borom, a fifth-round pick in last spring’s NFL Draft, was taking first-team reps in practices on Tuesday and Thursday because of injuries and other health issues throughout the line. The 22-year-old rookie joins Teven Jenkins (back), Germain Ifedi (PUP List), and Elijah Wilkinson (COVID-19 protocols) as unavailable for practice. This makes four offensive tackles who aren’t practicing today. GULP!
At this point, you’re probably wondering who *IS* available to take reps. I suppose Arlington Hambright, Lachavious Simmons, Alex Bars, and Tyrone Wheatley Jr. could be filling space for the time being. But if you have any experience playing offensive tackle at any level, and happen to be at today’s Bears practice at Halas Hall, perhaps you might be called in from your place on the sidelines to take some reps. So, if you’ve been waiting for this moment, it could be your time to shine.
