It’s Game Eight!
Or so the hype-mongers would have you believe!
I kid in both directions, because, although it is of course silly to think much of anything big about this Spring Training game, it is still kind of fun to see these two teams squaring off again so soon (relatively-speaking) after their epic World Series battle.
Jake Buchanan will start for the Cubs in this one, seeking to cement himself into the team’s depth starting pitching plans. As it stands, rotation spots at AAA Iowa (to say nothing of the big league club) are going to be hard fought because the Cubs are now loaded with options. Buchanan, 27, may have to put together a visually-impressive Spring Training to lock down a rotation spot at Iowa.

Meanwhile, the Indians want this one:
And: We happened to be looking through the MLB rule book last night and found this.
So, yeah, this is a pretty big game. #TribeSpring pic.twitter.com/jEdlaUE90f

The Indians are, however, broadcasting this one, so if you have Sports Time Ohio, or if you have MLB.tv, you’ll be able to watch.
