Pre-Gamin’: Cubs at Indians (8:10 CT) – Lineup, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

It’s the Cubs and the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark tonight – another late start (8:10 CT) as the Spring nears its end.

If you can believe it, the Cubs have just four more non-regular-season games after tonight’s tilt against Cleveland, and less than a week to go until the regular season.

Jon Lester, then, will take the mound for the final time – well, competitively, at least – before Game 1 against the Cardinals in St. Louis.

His Spring has been wholly nondescript, and completely not worth discussing … which is precisely what you like to see from a veteran with his track record of success. He will be working with a new catcher this year, though (Willson Contreras), so there will be some things to dig in on as soon as the season starts.

As Brett mentioned earlier, the lineup is mostly a star-studded cast, despite the fact that both Addison Russell and Ben Zobrist are not playing right now. Ian Happ is also still drawing starts. If all continues to go well, there’s a fair chance you see him in Chicago some time this season.

Today’s game will be broadcast on TV by SportsTime Ohio and MLB Network. The Cubs-based audio will also be available at MLB.com. For future reference, you can check which games will be televised here.

Cubs Lineup Versus Indians:

  1. Kyle Schwarber, RF
  2. Kris Bryant, 3B
  3. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
  4. Javy Baez, 2B
  5. Willson Contreras, C
  6. Ian Happ, LF
  7. Albert Almora Jr., CF
  8. Jon Lester, P
  9. Chesny Young, SS
