Third year guard James Daniels has quietly been a huge part of the Bears’ early-season success, and never was that more clear than when he went out in the third quarter with a pec injury. Almost immediately, his replacement, 2019 undrafted signee Alex Bars, was getting owned in the pass rush.
That is to say, losing Daniels for any serious length of time threatens to be one of those low-key serious problems. And there’s fear that the Bears have lost him for a serious length of time:
#Bears G James Daniels will undergo an MRI on his pec, with a source saying the fear is he suffered a season-ending injury. The tests will tell the full story.

Hoping the scan comes back with some kind of mild strain or something, because a significant tear will end his season. The Bears don’t need a hole to open up in the interior of their line right now.
