Here’s some good news after a depressing week in the NHL: Jujhar Khaira was back on the ice for Blackhawks practice. After suffering a concussion on December 7 against the New York Rangers from a hit to the head by Jacob Trouba, Khaira was back with the Blackhawks today for their final practice before the new NHL season pause for the Christmas holiday break.

With no game tonight, it was postponed against the Panthers, and no game on Thursday, it was postponed due to the league pause, why are the Blackhawks holding practice? Just let these guys go home for a few days. Whatever, I don’t make that call.
Nevertheless, great to see Khaira back at practice as a full participant.

Khaira has played a physical role for the Blackhawks this season, skating in 18 games and tallying two goals for Chicago. The NHL is expecting to resume the season on December 27, pending developments in the current rise in COVID cases around the league. The Blackhawks are expected to be back on the ice on December 28 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, if all goes according to plan.
