This is now the fifth game of December to be postponed for the Blackhawks. They have had four home games postponed (December 13 vs Calgary, December 21 vs Florida, December 23 vs Dallas, and December 28 vs Columbus) and now their first away game.
The NHL is not sending players to the 2022 Winter Olympics and the previously scheduled three-week break is reportedly going to be used to make up the now 65+ games that have been postponed by the league due to COVID. Chicago’s next game is scheduled to be on January 1, 2022, against the Nashville Predators in Nashville.
