The Christmas holiday break is over and the Blackhawks get to jump off the next few weeks of their schedule with a home date against the Jets. The road doesn’t get easier after this one; the Blackhawks’ next five games are on the road in Dallas (twice), Nashville, at the Rangers and Devils.
The Hawks went to their three-day break feeling pretty bad after allowing five unanswered goals in back-to-back games on back-to-back nights. The effort wasn’t great and the postgames weren’t fun. The good news is Chicago gets back one healthy body on the blue line and a forward. And the Jets are without one of the league’s most lethal scorers.
