In some shocking early morning news, The Athletic’s Shams Charania is reporting that Chris Paul has entered the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols. Paul will now be sidelined indefinitely with the Western Conference Finals looming.
Vaccinated individuals and teams follow much less strict NBA protocols, including the need not to quarantine following exposure, which the league announced back in March. Per Charania, this also includes the isolation period, which he writes could be shorter for vaccinated people depending on their medical circumstances.

Paul’s gifted 37-point performance on Sunday night to sweep the Nuggets marked his first trip to the Western Conference Finals in his career. Fortunately, the fact his team pulled off the sweep could buy them some major time as Paul works his way back to rejoin the team.
Phoenix will meet the winner of the Clippers-Jazz series which is currently tied 2-2.
