Bradley Beal did not beat around the bush on Wednesday afternoon. In a conversation with reporters from Team USA Training Camp in Las Vegas, the three-time All-Star was asked how much players might talk about teaming up in the future.
His response:
Bradley Beal on how much talk there will be among guys with Team USA about teaming up in future: "I don't know. Probably a lot."

You got to admire Beal’s honesty.
While it is a bit surprising Beal was this open about answering the question, it should come as no surprise that these conversations will flood team buses and hotel rooms. These are some of the most competitive, ring-hungry athletes in the world, so how could they not flirt with the idea of building the next superteam? Not to mention, this an atmosphere where close bonds and new friendships are made. The 12-man roster will embark on more than a month-long journey together and possibly walk away with one of the greatest accomplishments sports has to offer.
Every player in Las Vegas is also starting to see what their game could look like alongside another top talent. We never know what kind of on-court chemistry can develop and (more importantly) what kind of impression that could leave in a player’s mind as they head back to their home market.
I’ll be honest, considering Zach LaVine is only one of three players on the roster that failed to make the playoffs this season (Kevin Love and Jerami Grant are the other two), I do fear he could be the one pitched a superteam proposal as opposed to the one pitching. However, he does have a new front office, coaching staff, and All-Star co-star to throw into the conversation. Oh, and he also happens to play for one of the most historic franchises in the NBA in one of the best cities in the world. Let’s hope he uses those facts to his advantage.
