After months of being a sneaker-free agent, Zach LaVine has chosen his new home.
New Balance announced their deal with LaVine Thursday morning, sharing a video of the Chicago Bulls All-Star shooting some hoops with the city skyline well-represented in the background. LaVine went on to share with ESPN’s Nick DePaula why he chose to sign with New Balance, saying he’s “partnering with a brand that’s investing in me and I’m investing in them, so I’m extremely happy.”

LaVine previously held a four-year, $35 million deal with Adidas, which expired before the beginning of this regular season. He’s come onto the court decked in a number of different styles as he’s searched for a new brand. Now, he’s found it.
As New Balance strives to leave an even bigger mark in the NBA community, LaVine joins a relatively young group of NBA stars like Kawhi Leonard, Jamal Murray, and close-friend Dejounte Murray on a multi-year deal.
With one free agency over and done with, one more awaits.
