Already without Alex Caruso, the Chicago Bulls will be without guard Ayo Dosunmu for the remainder of their matchup with the Atlanta Hawks.
Dosunmu suffered a hard fall in the second quarter of Sunday night’s game while driving on Trae Young. Called for the offensive foul, a rising Dosunmu fell onto Young’s knee and swiftly left for the locker room. While he did appear back on the floor before the 3rd quarter tipped off, the broadcast showed Dosunmu returning to the locker room.
The Chicago Bulls have called the injury an “abdominal contusion.”
The question now is how long this injury might keep Dosunmu off the floor. A key part of the team’s rotation with Lonzo Ball already on the injury report, missing Dosunmu for an extended period of time could spell real trouble for an already-struggling Bulls team.
