DeMar DeRozan’s Daughter Was the Real MVP
DeMar DeRozan’s daughter better be in Miami.
Every single time the Toronto Raptors stepped to the line on Wednesday night, Diar DeRozan was ready to let out a blood-curdling scream. The youngster was decked out in her Bulls gear and a bedazzled jacket with “Daddy’s Girl” written on the sleeve. The ESPN broadcast caught her a few times trying to help out her father’s team. And you just have to see it.
I mean, look at that dedication and focus!
The best thing about this … it may have actually freakin’ worked!
The Raptors shot a disastrous 18-36 at the free-throw line (their worst performance of the season) compared to the Bulls’ 18-22 performance. Even with a chance to tie the game with 12.0 seconds left after Alex Caruso fouled Pascal Siakam behind the 3-point line (it was a questionable call, to say the least), the Raptors’ All-Star went on to miss two of the shots.
There is no question this poor performance at the line was pivotal in the Chicago Bulls’ erasing a 19-point deficit and going to win the game 109-105.
I’m sure hoping that the Bulls gave her some hot tea and cough drops in the locker room after the game. They got to keep her ready for this Friday’s big game against the Heat!
