DeMar DeRozan Made His 2023 Drew League Debut This Weekend

You didn’t think DeMar DeRozan would miss the Drew League, did you?

The Chicago Bulls’ six-time All-Star suited up, yet again, in his hometown of Compton, California this weekend. And he showed up at the perfect time! The undefeated Cheaters were just one win away from clinching a playoff spot, so he dropped an easy 24 points and 9 rebounds to help them accomplish just that.

The Bulls’ social media team shared a few clips of DeRozan doing what he does best, which included a look at his smooth mid-range jumper and a 3rd quarter-buzzer beater.

Check it out:

While it may not have been as exciting as DeRozan’s 2022 Drew League run – where he played alongside LeBron James and convinced Bulls youngsters like Patrick Williams and Dalen Terry to play – it was still exciting to see him back on the floor. All things considered, his mere presence sets a great example for other big-name players to go out into the basketball-loving community. Not to mention, every game just goes to show how much this guy loves to hoop.

You can check out more complete highlights from the game you YouTube here. Come for DeRozan making it look easy (he barely even broke a sweat) and stay for the “wait, is that old-Bull Walt Lemon Jr.” moment!
