New Marlins hitting coach Barry Bonds is inarguably one of the greatest power hitters of all-time, even if that description will be accompanied by a huge “BUT” for many fans. Heck, he was so good in his day that even God would vote him into the Hall of Fame (according to Bonds, anyway).
But maybe I shouldn’t even say “in his day.” Apparently, Bonds, 51, still has the power:
Barry Bonds just beat the Marlins players on a back field HR BP contest. Including Stanton.

I can report that Bonds seemed "happy" he won. PG-13 version. "You guys only see that on TV"

Barry Bonds hit 4 BP Home Runs including a walk off to end it. Asked coach directly did Bonds win that ? His answer – YES. #witness

That’s incredible. So incredible, in fact, that many folks don’t believe it.
That’s primarily because the Marlins have THE current homer hitting master of baseball, Giancarlo Stanton. He seems to think Bonds notched no such victory:
Stanton @Giancarlo818 and @ChristianYelich set the record straight. GS/CY: Barry Bonds, 51, did not beat them in HR contest

We may never know the truth. Maybe Bonds will step into a game at some point this year and set the record straight with a 500-foot blast over that crazy sculpture thing in center field.
