(There was a Chicago Bears game earlier today – AND I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT – and I cannot deny that my feelings from earlier are not at least somewhat tied to me especially enjoying what just happened to the Cardinals. I needed a boost, even if it’s a petty boost.)
Just a couple days after crying politely requesting that young Braves star Ronald Acuña show him some respect (while he was in the process of giving up three runs to barely preserve a four-run Cardinals lead), Carlos Martinez was back to business tonight against the Braves, blowing a 9th inning lead.
He got very little, if any, respect from Dansby Swanson and Adam Duvall:

Now, instead of being up 2-1 in the five-game series, the Cardinals are a game away from elimination. You just hate to see it.
