Well this is a more pleasant Jon-Lester-related thing than the rumors of the San Francisco Giants interest.
After buying a round of beers for the City of Chicago, Jon Lester is ready for his next act of awesomeness in the part of the country that is maybe-kinda-sorta a home to him:
Jon Lester continues to be the man.
The former #Cubs pitcher provided meals this week for 400 front line workers at two @AdvocateAurora hospitals. He surprised them with individually packaged meals from @thesmokedaddy BBQ and @HomeRunInn Pizza. @WGNNews pic.twitter.com/uzvGnvVKmk— Josh Frydman (@Josh_Frydman) November 24, 2020
In the spirit of the season, @Cubs pitcher @JLester34 generously donated Thanksgiving meals to team members at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and Christ Medical Center this week. Thank you, Jon, for feeding our team members during this holiday season! pic.twitter.com/h622oFzbP1

Lester, who has been with the Cubs for the last six years and is an indelible part of our fan experience, is the man. Whatever happens in free agency, and wherever he goes next, he’s always going to have supporters in Chicago and the surrounding area.
