Triple-A Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs ended a six-game losing streak with a dramatic 9-8 victory over the Columbus Clippers. Starter Julio Teheran pitched four and two third innings, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out six. Luke Little and Riley Thompson struggled in relief, but Brad Wieck‘s two-and-a-third scoreless innings earned him the win. The game took a surprising turn in the ninth inning when Clippers outfielder Lorenzo Cedrola, forced to pitch due to injuries, walked three batters and hit one, leading to Iowa’s comeback win, capped off by a walk-off walk from Matt Mervis.
Owen Caissie‘s three-run homer put Iowa ahead early, while Seiya Suzuki, on a rehab assignment, contributed with a perfect 2-for-2 performance with a walk and a stolen base. David Bote had a standout game, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, while catcher Ali Sánchez went 2-for-4 with an RBI single.

Double-A Tennessee Smokies
The Tennessee Smokies suffered a doubleheader sweep against the Chattanooga Lookouts, losing 6-2 and 5-4 in eight innings. In game one, Chris Kachmar took the loss, giving up five runs, including three solo home runs, over four and a third innings.
In game two, Frankie Scalzo Jr. pitched two scoreless innings, maintaining his streak of not allowing an earned run this season. Zac Leigh took the loss after giving up an unearned run in the eighth inning. Second baseman James Triantos contributed with a two-run double and three RBIs, while catcher Pablo Aliendo went 2-for-3 with a hit by pitch and a run scored.

High-A South Bend Cubs
The South Bend Cubs secured a narrow 7-6 victory over the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Starting pitcher Will Sanders struggled, giving up four runs over four innings, including two solo home runs. Chase Watkins earned the win with a strong three and a third innings of no-run ball, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out three. Jose Romero closed out the game with a save despite allowing two runs in the ninth. South Bend took the lead early with a grand slam by Felix Stevens in the first inning, his sixth home run of the season. Stevens finished 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Rafael Morel and Reivaj Garcia contributed with two hits each, with Morel scoring on Stevens’ grand slam.

Low-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans topped the Augusta GreenJackets 4-2. Mason McGwire delivered his best performance of the season, allowing just one run on three hits over three and two third innings but struggled with control, issuing four walks. Alfonsin Rosario had an RBI double in the first inning, finishing 2-for-5.
