Las Vegas Raiders Sign Veteran QB Brian Hoyer
Quarterback Brian Hoyer will wear his eighth different NFL jersey in 2023, after inking a two-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders earlier today.
After being released from New England in early March, Brian Hoyer’s move to Vegas makes sense as he joins former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, now Head Coach in Sin City. Featuring a career line of 902 completions for 10,668 yards and 53 touchdowns with 35 interceptions in 14 seasons, this will be Hoyer’s 11th move and eighth different franchise.
At age 37, Hoyer will likely serve as backup to another former Patriot Jimmy Garoppolo, and will bring a nice level of familiarity with McDaniels’ system to the quarterback room.
