2023 NFL Offseason Workouts Start Today For 26 Teams
Monday, April 17th marks the beginning of NFL offseason workouts for 26 NFL squads.
Per this year’s collective bargaining agreement, the first two weeks will consist of meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation, all of which are voluntary. Actual football will not be taking place, but these teams can begin to install the playbooks and discuss plans in meeting form.
Teams Beginning NFL Offseason Workouts
The 26 NFL clubs starting their programs today are the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, and Washington Commanders.
There were five teams that feature a new coaching staff able to start sessions last week which consisted of the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, and Indianapolis Colts. The Philadelphia Eagles are the only team not to start some sort of offseason program yet. They begin workouts on April 24th
As mentioned above, this phase of the NFL offseason is voluntary and it won’t be until the mandatory minicamps in June that we’ll see most of the veterans.
