Cleveland Browns 7-Round Mock Draft

News, NFL

After a lackluster 7-10 record in 2022, the Cleveland Browns will be looking to right the ship this year. Deshaun Watson will need to prove his worth after getting a fully guaranteed contract. In this 7-round Cleveland Browns mock draft, they address a variety of needs and snag the best player available.

The Browns have 8 draft picks in 2023 including picks 74, 98, 111, 126, 140, 142, 190, and 229. They need help on the interior defensive line and could look to add depth at wide receiver, and the offensive line.

Cleveland Browns Mock Draft

This Cleveland Browns mock draft may not seem like a big haul for them but that’s due to their draft capital. Without a first or second-round pick, it’s tough to get too much better in the draft.

Round 3 (No. 74)

Pick: Michael Wilson, WR, Stanford

Wilson probably would be a second-rounder if he had played more in the past three seasons. He racked up 421 yards on 27 receptions In just 6 games last season.

Round 3 (No. 98)

Pick: Kobie Turner, DL, Wake Forest

Turner is an absolute beast at defending the run and added 27 hurries as a pass-rusher. The Browns are currently slated to start Jordan Elliott, who is graded as the 118th interior defensive lineman out of 127 total qualifiers. Turner could come in and compete for playing time.

Round 4 (No. 111)

Pick: Moro Ojomo, DL, Texas

Continuing to add talent in the middle rounds at positions of need is a theme in this Cleveland Browns Mock Draft. Ojomo racked up 20 hurries and 5 sacks last season, earning a 90.6 grade from Pro Football Focus.

Round 5 (No. 126)

Pick: Carter Warren, OT, Pittsburgh

Warren is coming off a torn meniscus but played well in his limited time in 2022. The Browns need to keep bolstering their offensive line to give Deshaun Watson time.

Round 5 (No. 140)

Pick: Anthony Johnson Jr, S, Iowa State

The Browns have Grant Delpit as a starting safety, who was below average last season. Anthony Johnson is a player who can line up all over, including in the slot, deep, or at cornerback.

Round 5 (No 142)

Pick: Sean Tucker, RB, Syracuse

The Browns didn’t re-sign Kareem Hunt and are left with Jerome Ford, John Kelly, and Nate Mcrary. Tucker averaged 5.2 yards per carry and added 37 receptions out of the backfield in 2022.

Round 6 (No. 190)

Pick: Ryan Hayes, OT, Michigan

Hayes is a two-year starter for Michigan and didn’t allow a single sack in 357 pass-blocking snaps last year.

Round 7 (No. 229)

Pick: Ventrell Miller, LB, Florida

Miller is a bit undersized but plays with heart and had 64 tackles last season for the Gators.
