The Panthers have a total of six selections in the 2023 NFL Draft, including the No. 1 pick. They don’t have a pick in the sixth or seventh round of the draft.

The Panthers traded away their ninth overall selection, the 61st pick, a 2024 first-rounder, a 2025 second-rounder, and wide receiver DJ Moore to get the number one pick from the Bears.
The Panthers were able to add draft picks by trading running back Christian McCaffrey before the trade deadline. One of the picks ended up being traded to the New England Patriots.

In the second and third rounds, the team could add a wide receiver such as Josh Downs from North Carolina to give its new quarterback a solid option on the outside. Also, edge rusher Byron Young from Tennessee could be worth a look as a third or fourth-rounder.
When is the 2023 NFL Draft?
The 2023 NFL Draft will take place over three days in April in Kansas City, Missouri. The First Round picks will begin on April 27th and will be aired live on both NFL Network and ESPN at 8 p.m. ET.
