The next quarterback domino fell on Sunday as Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers worked on a deal to keep the signal caller in Tampa Bay for three more years. That came on the heels of former New England quarterback Mac Jones being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a fifth and sixth-round pick.
According to Adam Schefter, Baker Mayfield’s contract is worth $100 million with $50 million of it guaranteed. With incentives, it’s maxed at $115 million.
He joins star wideout Mike Evans who got himself a two-year deal worth $52 million back on March 4th. Evans is coming off a 79-1,255-13 season while Mayfield threw for 4,044 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 2023 in his first season as a Buccaneer.
