Daniel Jones Rushing Prowess
Daniel Jones finished the 2022 season as fantasy’s QB8 in fantasy points per game (18.1), and the team did what they could to add some more pieces to a receiving group that was lackluster in pure talent.
On top of adding a play-maker that hasn’t quite reached his potential in Parris Campbell, the Giants also used a third-round pick on speedster Jalin Hyatt after taking center John Michael Schmitz earlier in the second round.
Wide receiver room notwithstanding, the real reason Jones is ranked this highly is the sneaky upside he provides with his legs. His 708 rushing yards ranked fifth in the league, while his seven rushing scores were tied for third with big-time running threat Josh Allen.
Per 4for4’s Player Stat Explorer, the Giants’ QB had the third-most scrambles per game (3.4) throughout last season. Jones has a chance to climb even further up these fantasy football quarterback rankings by the time the season kicks off in September.
