Can I Place Any Bets During Pre-Registration?
No. Bettors cannot place any wagers after signing up early. You have to wait until the sportsbook goes live. You can only get your sign-up bonus into your account or make deposits. No bets can be placed until the sportsbook is officially live.
For example, if you sign up for FanDuel on March 5, you can make a deposit and browse the app. You cannot make a bet until NC sports betting launches on March 11.

North Carolina sports betting is going live on March 11, 2024. This is the week of many major conference tournaments in college basketball. The following week, March Madness begins on March 19.
