Some of the Bears best and most productive picks in recent years have come on Day 3.
Jordan Howard was a Pro Bowl running back as a rookie. He was a fifth-round pick. Adrian Amos was a fifth-rounder, too. He was a four-year starter in Chicago before taking his talents to play for That Team in Wisconsin. Eddie Jackson was a fourth-round steal who put up an All-Pro campaign in the Bears’ last winning season. Tarik Cohen was a fun gadget player who was an All-Pro return specialist. Like Jackson, Cohen was a fourth-round pick. Trevis Gipson was a Day 3 selection and he is in line to start as a pass-rusher for these Bears.
And then there’s everyone’s favorite Day 3 pick (of recent vintage):
If Ryan Poles can find a Darnell Mooney, Adrian Amos, and an Eddie Jackson today, I think folks will be singing a different tune than they were last night.
Let’s get it!

Day 3 mock draft
• developmental OT
• potential X WR who is also a freak after the catch
• solid and experienced OG (I’m higher on him than his ranking here)
• More depth on defense pic.twitter.com/vRQt3RWxw1— Joseph Herff (@JosephHerffNFL) April 30, 2022
Ran a #Bears mock draft simulation for Day 3.
Traded Robert Quinn for some more draft capital in the next two years, and I took an offense-heavy approach with the future in mind. pic.twitter.com/izU5FyZC7u

Draft Thread
Your draft thread is down in the comments, so let’s have some good, clean (safe-for-work) fun. It’s good to be back talking about picking in the first round. Hopefully, these pick are ones we talk about for many days, months, and years to come. Preferably for all the right reasons.
