The Entire Golden Knights Coaching Staff Is Out vs. Blues Due to COVID-19 Protocols

You just cannot escape it.

Just hours before the 8:00 p.m. CT puck drop for their Tuesday night contest against the St. Louis Blues, the Vegas Golden Knights announced that the entire coaching staff would be unavailable “out of an abundance of caution” due to COVID-19 protocols. At least one member of the staff has tested positive for COVID-19 at this point.

Viveiros played 21 professional seasons in North America and Europe before becoming the head coach of the Swift Current Broncos in the WHL from 2016-18. He also was the head coach of the Spokane Chiefs last season before being name the Silver Knights head coach. Heward was an assistant coach with Swift Current from 2013-18, and then an associate coach with the Vancouver Giants (WHL) from 2018-20. Ward is a veteran of 726 NHL games with the Minnesota Wild, Washington Capitals, Nashville Predators, and San Jose Sharks from 2006-18.
