Summer League is a time to look on the bright side. That isn’t to say we should completely ignore the holes in a certain player’s game, but we should remember this is the time for that player to also recognize those holes and work to fill them.
In other words, let’s not freak out if the team suffers another blowout loss like they did two days ago. A Summer League score matters less than shoes to a fish. I’m just here for some fun Dalen Terry highlights and some encouraging Justin Lewis flashes!

What to Watch For …
Dalen Terry needs to stop eating some of Benny the Bull’s popcorn before the game. The rookie has been a major butterfingers over his first two Summer League stints, forking over at least six turnovers in each game. Some of this is due to his loose handles, but a lot of it stems from some unnecessarily ambitious passes. Terry is a smart player with a naturally strong feel for the game, so my hope is that we see him finally start to better understand NBA speed as these Summer League games continue.
Marko Simonovic couldn’t have followed up his Game 1 performance with a greater dud. The big man failed to score a single field goal and recorded seven personal fouls against the Knicks. He clearly struggled against the more traditional rim-protecting talent of Jericho Sims, and I have real questions about his ability to handle the length of the seven-foot Chrisitan Koloko this time. Prove me wrong and show us what that new strength can do, Marko!
Can we see someone like Javon Freeman-Liberty or Carlik Jones have a big scoring day? We have yet to watch an explosive scoring performance from a backcourt player, and both of those two have the offensive arsenal to put up some fun highlights. Give me some buckets!
