Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo Homer in Pairs of Pairs (VIDEO)

Chicago Cubs

What can you say at this point? People love dingers, and players in the Chicago Cubs organization love giving people what they want.

In the game against the Reds last night, Anthony Rizzo hit yet another homer. Although it wasn’t the same kind of LOLOMG homer as the one the day before, this one did break up Homer Bailey’s perfect game, no-hitter, and shutout. You can watch the homer here at The short, on-a-loop version is here for now:

It’s pretty, y’all. Watch Devin Mesoraco behind the plate.

And, down at AAA Iowa, Kris Bryant continues to do what he does. Like, in the extreme: he homered, he walked, he struck out, and he put two more balls in play that did not go for hits. Through 24 plate appearances, Bryant has five hits, all homers. That’s a .000 BABIP, which is, itself, a little crazy (even granting the 9 strikeouts). His line stands at .238/.333/.952. Which part is the most unbelievable: that slugging percentage, or the fact that Bryant is hitting .238 *entirely on home runs*?

The display of easy, easy power continues. Here’s the homer from yesterday. How in the world did this get out:

Just a little inside out slap to right, maybe a single … oh, no, way, it’s a bomb.
