There’s going to be so much to get into from that crazy game last night (I was just typing at my computer less than six hours ago!), including some great performances all over the field and out of the bullpen.
For this morning, though, I reckon you need a wakeup call as much as I do – or maybe you just missed the Cubs’ big comeback win last night, and want to see the juiciest bits.[adinserter block=”1″][adinserter block=”10″]
Thankfully, the folks at MLB.com put together a highlight package of the two Cubs knocks that brought them back to tie the game in the 9th and the 13th, and then Miguel Montero’s game-winner. I think it’s also fair to consider the Willson Contreras two-run homer in the 8th inning part of the clutchness in the comeback, but it’s not in the package, so you’ll have to watch it here.
As for the game-tying homer by Jorge Soler in the bottom of the 9th, the game-tying single by Anthony Rizzo in the bottom of the 13th, and the walk-off single by Miguel Montero later that inning, enjoy:

Montero seemed to tired to enjoy the antics of the mob after the game, but I did find Kyle Schwarber pouring extra water bottles down Miggy’s jersey long after the celebration was over to be tons of fun.
That Jorge Soler homer, by the way, was 109mph off the bat on a 1-2 pitch from one of the best relievers in the game, and went 428 feet. It came as part of a game in which he also singled and doubled, and raised his slash line on the year to .246/.330/.449, which is good for a 107 wRC+.
That Anthony Rizzo single, by the way, saved him from an 0-6 night with 10 men left on base. As it stands, he was 1-6 with only 8 left on base, but thankfully no one will remember that part.[adinserter block=”2″]
