The Chicago Cubs are back! The second half of the season begins in Philadelphia against the right-hander Kyle Gibson. Here’s David Ross’ lineup for the first of three straight at Citizens Bank Park.

I thought the Cubs would want to DH Willson Contreras as often as possible until he’s dealt, but he’s starting behind the plate tonight. I really wouldn’t be surprised if he catches only 1-2 more games for the Cubs after this one.
In any case, with Contreras behind the plate, DH is open for Frank Schwindel, which leaves 1B open for Alfonso Rivas.
Other than that, it’s a pretty normal group, with the only “change” being the flip for Suzuki and Happ in the order.
