AT&T Byron Nelson History

The Byron Nelson Classic can be traced back to 1926 when the Dallas Open was played. It took a long break and returned as the Texas Victory Open in 1944 where the namesake himself Byron Nelson won by 10 strokes. It went through a few name changes during the following 24 years. Then in 1968, the Dallas Open Invitational was officially renamed the Byron Nelson Classic. And has been so ever since.

AT&T Byron Nelson Past Winners

Past winners of this event include Byron Nelson himself, Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, and Tiger Woods. There are six golfers who have won multiple times with Tom Watson being the only 4-time champ and player to win 3 straight. K.H. Lee is among this group and is seeking to join Watson as the 2nd player to win three consecutive Byron Nelson Classics. See each winner from the last 20 years below.

Just a regular guy who absolutely loves sports. I've been playing, watching, and recreationally betting on sports for over 30 years. My favorite sports to attack at the sportsbook are Football (NFL/NCAAF), College Basketball, and most recently - the NASCAR Cup Series. I'm not an "expert" and I don't have or use betting models, but I do put in the research and apply that to my wagers which are mostly backed by the trending data with of course a little, as Gibbs from the show NCIS would say "Gut Feeling" contributing to the side chosen. Sports betting should be fun and enjoyable so always play within your means and NEVER chase your losses. You can follow me on Twitter @Brian_Twining - Let's try and win some bets!
