Denver Broncos 2023 NFL Draft Picks

The 2022 NFL season was a disaster for the Broncos after trading for star quarterback Russell Wilson. They finished 5-12 and are now hoping a strong offseason can turn things around.

The team started by trading for the rights to head coach Sean Payton. Now, the 2023 NFL Draft is next. Here’s what you need to know about the Denver Broncos draft picks for 2023.

List of Denver Broncos Draft Picks in the 2023 NFL Draft

The Broncos have just five picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. They don’t have a pick in the first or second round.

Here’s a look at the Denver Broncos’ draft picks for 2023.

– 3rd Round: 67th overall (from Colts)

– 3rd Round: 68th overall

– 4th Round: 108th overall

– 5th Round: 139th overall

– 6th Round: 195th overall (from Steelers)

The Broncos traded their original first-round and second-round picks to the Seattle Seahawks to get quarterback Russell Wilson. Denver got a first-round pick back when general manager George Paton traded Bradley Chubb to the Miami Dolphins.

It was originally the San Francisco 49ers’ pick for trading up to get quarterback Trey Lance in the Draft. Then, GM George Paton shipped the pick to the New Orleans Saints in the Sean Payton trade. The team is now starting the draft with back-to-back rounds of no picks.

Denver Broncos Mock Draft and Team Needs

With very few selections in the 2023 NFL Draft, the team will have to make each pick count. They don’t have room for error when drafting players. The team needs help at edge rusher as well as depth on the offensive line to protect Russell Wilson. Linebacker and the secondary are areas of concern as the team hopes to make a playoff run in 2023.

The team could hopefully get some value out of linebacker Daiyan Henley from Washington State if they choose to go that route with its third-round pick. Also, edge rusher Adetomiwa Adebawore from Northwestern could be a solid addition in the middle rounds.
