Yesterday, Bears safety Eddie Jackson was announced as the NFC Defensive Player of the Week, marking the second such award of his very young career – a well-deserved, well-earned honor. In our opinion, he was a slam-dunk candidate for the weekly award and will be week-in and week-out going forward. But the love for Jackson wasn’t so fleeting.
Earlier today, we learned that he had also been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month!

That is a far greater honor, one usually reserved for the league’s very best (like Khalil Mack, who won back in September), which makes it all the more impressive. Indeed, it’s been a very, very good season for the Bears former fourth round pick, and he’s made Ryan Pace look mighty good for that selection.
So with all of this positive energy flowing, I thought it was worth re-living some of his finer moments of the month. You can click through and start with this slide show from the Bears or simply move onto the always popular highlight reel.
