NASCAR‘s Cup Series descends upon Kansas Speedway this Sunday, May 5th, for the highly anticipated 2024 AdventHealth 400. With Christopher Bell grabbing pole position, all eyes are on him to lead the pack. But with challengers like Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin waiting in the wings, this race promises heart-stopping action from start to finish.
NASCAR Kansas Odds and Picks
Practice and qualifying for the AdventHealth 400 went as close to expected as possible. Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Tyler Reddick all look great during their 20 minutes of practice time with William Byron showing the best overall speed between the two groups. When qualifying came around though, we saw a few different names topping the charts.
Returning to his elite qualifying ways of last year was Christopher Bell who grabbed his 3rd career Kansas pole. Beating out surprise front-row qualifier Ross Chastain by a little over .06 seconds. Also announcing his presence was Noah Gragson who posted the 3rd fastest qualifying lap at 29.597 seconds. Pre-Practice AdventHealth 400 odds favorite Kyle Larson posted the 4th best time and starts beside Noah when we go green from Kansas Speedway.
NASCAR Kansas Odds
Qualifying saw a few surprise names pop into the top 10 but as we’ve already seen many times this season, single-lap speeds on Saturday aren’t always great indicators of race pace. The updated AdventHealth 400 odds reflect this exact sentiment as even those surprise drivers didn’t see aggressive shifts in their prices.
Kyle Larson is on a different planet in terms of talent and the sportsbooks know this so his odds keep getting shorter. This opens up some value behind him with other very talented drivers, especially this week. So let’s take a look at the post-qualifying odds board from DraftKings Sportsbook below.

AdventHealth 400 Odds: Post-Qualifying Bet
As of writing this piece, likely due to a busy day of sports including the 150th Kentucky Derby and the NHL and NBA Playoffs, sportsbooks haven’t reopened many AdventHealth 400 odds markets. There is one fun market currently available on Caesars that I’m excited to attack though. So check out one of my favorite post-qualifying AdventHealth 400 bets to make right now.
Bubba Wallace/Chase Elliott Top 10’s +260 (Caesars)
Not sure if Caesars meant to repost this line but I’ll gladly take it. Elliott has been spectacular here at Kansas since jumping into the HMS 9-car in 2018. Over the 12 races here since then, he’s finished worse than 12th just once and has 8 of his 10 career top-10s here.
Wallace has been equally impressive in the land of OZ since joining 23XI before the 2021 season. Over the six races since that year, Bubba’s average finish is 14.5 and he’s nabbed a top 10 in 3 of 4 next-gen events here. Oh yeah, this includes his victory back in 2022.
Find great Bubba Wallace or Chase Elliott gear at Fanatics!
Despite their differing starting positions, I expect both Bubba and Chase to be very competitive and hover inside the top 10 all day with both having the potential to compete inside the top 5. As long as they can stay on track and avoid pit road mistakes, this should be a fun sweat till the end and one well worth the posted odds.
