But today, Yoshinobu Yamamoto made his MLB debut in the Seoul Series against the Padres, and he lasted just one inning:
The final tally: just one inning pitched, five earned runs on four hits and a walk, and two strikeouts. Woof.
Now, I’ll say that an adjustment period, even for an ace like Yamamoto, would not be unusual (we all have to keep that in mind for Shota Imanaga, too). But for $325 million, I’d imagine the Dodgers are expecting the adjustment period to be brief, and not quite this bad.
