The only thing preventing me – a diehard Cubs fan – from enjoying this outrageously, uncomfortably, unfathomably offline throw from Cardinals center field Tyler O’Neill tonight is the fact that it happened against the Brewers, and allowed them to score a go-ahead run during a game they’d ultimately win.
But still … it was pretty funny:

With two outs and the runner going on contact, O’Neill probably had no chance on a play at the play anyway – so there’s really no harm, no foul – but that throw was just so far from its intended destination, it’s hard not to laugh.
The official scorer gave him a throwing error and honestly … that feels generous.
