Awful, awful news tonight: Durham Bulls pitcher Tyler Zombro was hit in the head by a line drive, immediately went down to the ground, began convulsing, and was ultimately taken to the hospital.
Descriptions of the scene are terrifyingly graphic, and so, after finding the video myself, I’ve decided not to share it. Truly, even if you have a strong stomach, I do not suggest looking it up. No one needs to see that, including his family and friends. Suffice it to say he was immediately stretchered off the field, as players from both teams looked on in horror, knelt, and prayed. The game was postponed.
