The legal tampering period is open, and things will get crazy around the NFL. We will have stand-alone posts for the heavy hitters this week, but we’re also going to wrap up some of the less notable deals in this handy free agency tracker.
March 13, 2023 (2:40 PM CT): Vonn Bell Signing with the Panthers
Former Bengals safety Vonn Bell is heading to Carolina. NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reports that Bell will sign with the Carolina Panthers. Bell has spent the past three seasons with the Bengals. Bell logged 77 tackles, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles last season.
March 13, 2023 (1:05 PM CT): Bills Land Guard Connor McGovern
The Bills needed to get Josh Allen some upgrades on the offensive line, and they’ve done so early. Former Cowboys guard Connor McGovern is heading to Buffalo on a three-year, $23 million deal.
March 13, 2023 (1:00 PM CT): Dolphins Land Tua a Backup QB
Mike White is heading to Miami on a two-year deal worth up to $16 million. The Dolphins now have a solid backup for Tua Tagovailoa. The Jets are making themselves dependent on Aaron Rodgers choosing New York. Derek Carr, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jarrett Stidham, and Mike White are all off the board.
March 13, 2023 (12:35 PM CT): Lions Land CB Cameron Sutton
The Detroit Lions are on the board, addressing a position of need with a three-year deal for CB Cameron Sutton. Sutton played for the Steelers last season and will make $33 million with Detroit.
A few other notable signings that we went solo with this afternoon:
March 13, 2023 (12:14 PM CT): Broncos are Signing QB Jarrett Stidham
Former Raiders QB Jarrett Stidham is heading to Denver. Ian Rapoport had the news on this one. Stidham will make $10 million per year for two years. Stidham played pretty well during his two starts for the Raiders after Derek Carr was excused from the team. The Raiders letting Stidham walk makes me feel even more confident that Jimmy Garoppolo will end up in Vegas.
March 13, 2023 (11:43 AM CT): Broncos Signing Center Ben Powers
According to Mike Klis, the Broncos are in agreement with former Ravens guard Ben Powers this afternoon. Klis is reporting that the two sides have agreed on a four-year deal.
Ian Rapoport has the financials:
March 13, 2023 (11:15 AM CT): Jonathan Jones Staying in New England
It may be time for teams to start talking to free agents, but we’re seeing teams lock up their own so far. Jonathan Jones is getting a two-year deal from the New England Patriots. Jones was a surprise no-tag by the Patriots last week, and now he gets a new two-year deal from New England.
