The first National League All-Star Game voting update is out, and it’s peppered with Chicago Cubs … but none of whom are actually in the lead:

Obviously the All-Star Game is just a fan fest, and thus it’s not worth getting too troubled about a popularity contest. That said, I really can’t raise a stink about Anthony Rizzo being behind Adrian Gonzalez right now, or Kris Bryant being behind Matt Carpenter right now, or Starlin Castro being behind Jhonny Peralta right now (or several other players). Buster Posey is very deserving of being up there on the catcher side, though Yadier Molina is not. Miguel Montero should probably be second.
